Myrtle Beach
I know it seems like we all know someone who has been to Myrtle Beach and they have all had their own experiences of the place. For me, it was even better than I expected it to be! With this itinerary and locations you cannot go wrong with a visit. We had relaxation, adventure, and the most delicious food!
We stayed at the Marriott Myrtle Beach Resort & Spa at Grande Dunes. It gives a private feel as it is set north of all the tourist attractions (so definitely rent a car.) There were tons of spots to sit and sun by the pool with waiters taking orders and bringing your food and beverages back to you poolside. You will also not be disappointed when you rent a spot of chairs and an umbrella down on the beach. It was the perfect way to spend a day in the sun with a little shade. We always book massages when we go on vacation because of the flights so be sure to book a spa experience at the resort or find another option closer to town!
In town there are SO MANY things to do! Between Sky Wheel, putt-putt, the aquarium, helicopter rides, and sunset cruises. you will not be underwhelmed by views and adventure. Do not forget to take a sunset cruise! You get to go through canals and out to the open nearly endless ocean and view the lights of Myrtle Beach from the sea. The sunset was spectacular and the vibe was so fun.
We could never stop raving about the amazing food we ate while in Myrtle Beach. Be sure to make a reservation so you do not skip Hook & Barrel. It is absolutely adorable with its southern charm and the food was incredible! We had dinner and breakfast there to experience both sides of the location. Also, be sure to hit up 42nd Street Bar & Grill for dinner to have the upscale and decadence experience. There were three restaurants within the hotel itself that we stayed at. The views of the pool and ocean could not be beat and we ate a lot of our meals there.
If you are planning a couples trip or a family vacation you will not be disappointed to travel the east coast of Myrtle Beach because it had an opportunity for ever bit of sun fun, relaxation, and the BEST food!
