Pandemic Wedding

I think it is safe to say that Alan & I had BOTH been planning and thinking about our wedding days almost our entire lives. We honestly love, love. From our first date to the wedding date we discussed little things we hoped to fill our magical moments so throwing a global pandemic into the mix was not expected.

We had to order everything online from my wedding dresses to the guys suits and make our own bouquets and centerpieces! We had to limit our guest list to close family and friends only. Our out-of-state and out-of-country family was not able to attend. BUT as sad as we were about having to change our guest list and change our reception venue we would do it all over again!

September 5, 2020 was the BEST day of the CRAZIEST year! I had always dreamed of celebrating life and love with my favorite people but it was honestly even better than I could have imagined. From waking up with my favorite girls, calling it a night with my favorite guy, and every little moment in between, it was perfect! The Chapel was pleasantly divine in the most simplistic of ways and Gerych's greenhouse reception was without a doubt magic to my eyes. It was all so very overwhelming in the best possible way.

I only had one true moment alone that day. It was right before I stepped out to meet my dad at the beginning of the isle. I stared at myself in the mirror and soaked in every bit of love for me, my family, this day, and my groom. I don't know if I will ever feel as beautiful as that day, in that moment.

The ceremony was extremely emotional. Yes! He cried when I walked down the isle (and so did just about everyone else.) It was exactly how I had always hoped it would be. The presence of God's love was tangible in the air and we could all feel it, all share in that moment as one family. The reception started with a song of thankfulness as we made our first entrance as husband and wife. The evening flowed with first dances, cake cutting, prayers, dinner, toasts, and celebration with a sparkler send off.

What more could I have asked for? It was a beautiful day and the perfect way to start our Wildly Ever After...

*A few tips: The photos and videos will help remind you of the best day and they are worth the money! Pick out special Perfume & Cologne for each of you to wear that day and through the honeymoon (spray it on again for date nights out to reminisce.) Buy the 2nd dress. Wedding party favors are not necessary. Little Polaroid station is so fun to look at the next day. Make it a celebration weekend, not just one day. Take moments to breath and soak it all in.
